Okay, blogger friends, I am seeking your input. Have you ever been on a cruise and if so, did you like it? Would you recommend it to others or not? Have you ever been on a Disney cruise? Like, dislike? Why?
As I mentioned, I'm already planning our summer vacation. We're likely going to the Outer Banks, which we adore, but are also toying with some other ideas. I've never been on a cruise, so I thought I would do some research. Thanks in advance for your input!
Have a great weekend!

We have been on a few cruise's. The Disney cruise was one of them. I would recommend going, especially with kids. We went with our sister & brother in law and no kids and had a great time. They have spots on board just for adults as well. I know my grand kids would have loved it.
I will say that a cruise is a good vacation for the money.
A cruise sounds lovely! I have been on a Carribean cruise and just loved it... can't wait to read what you choose. Keep the warm thoughts coming...xo HHL
Never been on a cruise but I'd LOVE to go. xx
It's been a very long time but I did go to the Bahamas on a cruise and loved it. I've been contimplating it as well so I'm interested to see other comments. Didn't even think of a Disney one...hmmmmm....
Ok, well I'm going to be the downer on the cruises. For me, I would not go on another cruise (granted I don't have kids, so the Disney cruise may be fabulous for the little ones). I'm very, very claustrophobic, so maybe thats why I didn't like them. Also, I felt like all we did was eat. all. the. time. BUT the food was great and maybe you will have more self control than me! Just my humble, humble thoughts!
Never been... And probably will never go on one - unless with girlfriends! My husband has absolutely no desire to set wheels (remember he is in a chair!) on a cruise ship. :(
we have been on many cruises and have loved
each one. it's so wonderful to see varied and
lovely places but only have to unpack once!
your children would love the disney cruise!
Sounds like a fun trip!!! I haven't been on one so I don't know!! Also, I'm hosting a giveaway on my blog!!!
i hate cruises
unless....
you can go on a cruise that has under 60 people.
and there are cruise ships
{small ones} that have much less of a population.
the is a cruise ship that is
a tall ship called - arabella
google it.
sorry to sound like a pooper,
but i can't stand to be trapped in the middle of the ocean with ALL THOSE PEOPLE eating 'that food.'
the last time i went on a cruise,
after waiting on line {yuck),
and getting on board with more lines {yuck}
i fained
a serious heart attack/panic attack
and was able to get my bags and get off before we ever left port.
whew!! was i ever happy!!!
but hey.....
you might have a ball.
i know people that go,
and go often.
xxxx
Just found your lovely blog all the way from Spain!
I can't comment on the Disney cruise, but I steer clear of cruises in general (even though my parents love them!)For me they are like "holiday camps" on water ;-)But if you have kids could be ideal for them.
It's so interesting to read your comments, because for a long time, I've thought I wouldn't enjoy a cruise. But, if I heard enough favorable reviews, I could be persuaded. Hmm, not quite convinced, yet. :) Thanks to everyone for commenting!
everyone I have talked to adore cruises although I have never been on one. We are going to disney world this year, so excited!
Hi there..I can speak with experience..the ships out there now a days are wonderful. You should look in to a 7N Caribbean cruise..the prices are so great right now. I would recommend Oasis of the Seas or Allure of the Seas (Royal Caribbean). Tons of things to do, see and keep entertained. They have perfected cruises with these two new ships! Enjoy!
A couple of days ok, if you have a high tolerance level, a week or longer NO!!!!!
Margaret Atwood spends her time cruising apparently. Personally, I hate boats, ships or anything that floats, but that's all down to a nasty experience I had on the Barrier Reef. Anyway, if it's good enough for Atwood (who favours the Arctic variety) why not?
I have never been on a cruise. so I am no help. I have always wondered whether it might feel a bit confining?? But, maybe not... Have a great week!
I've been a couple different ones and I've loved every one of them. I actually think about them often and long for the time when I can take my husband, as he's never been. As big of foodies as we are, the food alone is enough to make the trip worthwhile for us!
I have been on 15 cruises and can't wait to go on the next one. My three sisters and I went on one together and have such fun memories. I money is important, you can't beat the price. You have your room, food, get to see differnt places with out the hastle of driving or paying for gas. You only unpack once. There is now worry if the place will be clean or where shall we eat. My husband & I like to lay out under the covered deck and read, listen to music, the sounds of the ocean, yes and sometimes snooze and not feel quilty like you should be doing something.
go on a cruise! my grandmother took me on one (when i was a teenager) to bermuda and it was amazing.
We went on a fun cruise to the Bahamas..there is so much to do on the cruise and the food is outstanding...I'm sure your party will be so much fun...tea parties always are! Nice
to hear from you!Jennifer aka Gigi
