A Gift to Myself
So, as many of you know, I hit the big 4-0 this month (next Monday to be exact). So, as an early birthday present to myself, I purchased something I've wanted for a very long time. And given what's happened over the last year, I felt it was well-deserved!
I have always loved David Yurman jewelry and finally bought one of his rings.

It's very pretty! I bought a handbag for my 35th birthday that I'd been wanting for a long time. That was, gulp, many moons ago. I think we should treat ourselves!

Wow that ring is amazing, I love it. It is not as glamorous as the ring, and it may not seem like much of a stunning gift but I do have one. I recently purchased a designer pair of glasses with transition frames. They may be more practical, but they were definitely a gift for myself.

Well done, you. When I divorced I found I missed my wedding ring far more than I would have expected. My mother and stepfather gave me a gold band chased with flower engravings and studded with a few tiny diamonds. It was remarkably reassuring.
