Summertime at the Pool

In the words of Liz Lemon, "I want to go to there."

Have you had time to lounge at the pool this summer? I've only been twice, compared to last summer when we basically lived at the pool; of course, things are very different this year. Because of the chemo medication I'm on, I can't get a lot of sun exposure, although I basked in it this past Saturday. Probably too much, but it was wonderful. We've joined a new pool and the kids are loving it because so many of their friends go there. They're not doing swim team this year (praise be to God), so it's nice to just go to the pool for fun and not have to endure an all-day sweat-fest that is a swim meet.

Happy Monday, friends!

We always belonged to a lake when the kids were little. Now? I will only go in a pool. Right now? I want and need the pool pictured!
Happy Monday!

Last summer when I was on maternity leave, we were at the pool ALL the time. We belong again this year, but our time will be significantly less with both of us at work all summer. Boo!! This week and next, Spencer is in swim lessons from 6-7 every night, so we will be there after work. LONG days for the kids, but he needs to get in the pool and get comfortable in the water, so you do what you gotta do!! Let's hope Peter cooperates :)

We didn't spend half as much time at the pool last year as I would have liked but I have made a promise to myself (and to the kiddies!)that I will not let that happen again this year. I seem to be my happiest when lounging by the pool! I am glad to hear that you are enjoying yourself a little bit, even with all that is different for you this year.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
