Derby Weekend Come & Gone

Well, friends, sorry it's been so long since my last post. Life has been hectic, so my blogging has not only been placed on the back burner, but completely fallen off the stove.

Anyhoo, just a quick update. As many of you may know, this past Saturday was the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby. Congrats to the wonderful thoroughbred, California Chrome, for winning the garland of roses. Good luck in the Preakness! We're far overdue for a Triple Crown winner.

I didn't make it to the track this year, but I was fortunate to attend a special event on Derby Eve, the Julep, which benefits the James Graham Brown Cancer Center. Last year I was treated at the Brown for breast cancer and I can attest that it's an amazing facility. They saved my life.

Here I am with my cousin, whose mom last her battle with breast cancer many years ago. It was great to see so many people at the event and to celebrate the many survivors on hand.

On Derby night, a girlfriend and I hit the town, first heading to Proof at the 21C Museum Hotel. If you're planning a trip to Louisville, stay at 21C. Conde Nast Traveler named it one of the top 10 hotels in the world. Just look for the red penguins and the giant, golden David in all his glory. :)

Here we are outside the hotel, taking a Derby selfie in an art installation. Pretty cool, huh?

If you bet the ponies this past weekend, hope you had a winner!

You OK?

Hi, LPC! Yes, I'm doing okay. I have my cancer treatments behind me, although another surgery coming up this summer and ongoing visits to various oncologists. But, I've been given a great prognosis and for that, I'm very thankful. Between work and my kids' schedules, I just have been VERY busy. I hope you are doing well. I need to do a better job of keeping up with my blogger friends. :)

No obligation! Just want to make sure you're OK. You were in this when I was a newbie blogger, so I'm attached:).

Hello, My name is Faith am from USA ..... and I am very happy for posting on this blog on how a great spell caster helped me bring back the love of my life. I know there are lots of women like me out there who have done so much just to have back their Husband, I am here to tell you all to search no further because the answer is right here. I sincerely believe if there are up to five spell casters like DOCTOR WTAHA this world would be a better place, I contacted him and shared my problems to him and he gave me the terms and conditions, which I obeyed, it only took 3 days for my husband to come back home begging for my forgiveness. To cut the long story short. I am now living happily with my husband. Thanks to Dr TWAHA . Contact him now on email: . Or reach him on whats app +2349038518881 or call him . He can save your marriage or relationships too.
