Before we left for the restaurant, Hubby pulls out his phone to show me a place where he and his colleagues ate dinner one night.
It's in Malibu. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Yeah, wise decision not to e-mail that to me while he was gone.
He did make up for it with the dinner and by presenting me with a new pair of earrings. You're a good man, Charlie Brown.

How sweet of him to bring you a gift...it's hard holding the fort when they travel for business.
I remember when my husband worked long hours and the children were small...
Hope that you are having a great weekend.
Sounds like you really do have a 'honey' for a husband.
PS I love your new haircut!
Glad you all had a fun evening out; "soloing" with the kiddos can be hard. And yes, your fellow was verrrry wise not to share his dining experience while he was away. The Mister learned that one the hard way when he described in detail the amazing meal and restaurant where he and a female colleague dined. He was trying to provide full disclosure, but I did not want to hear it when I was picking up bits of macaroni and cheese from the high chair tray!
Sounds like a wonderful evening .. you have a real sweetheart. xo HHL
Hooray for Hubby, home safe and sound. And with presents!
Yes, he DID redeem himself after snowing you the picture of that glorious sunset! I know you are glad to have him home - and not just because you've been solo parent for a week...
sounds like he'll just have to take you back to Malibu someday...the pic looks gorgeous and your dinner sounded perfect...we ate at Geoffrey's overlooking the beach in Malibu. My friend Gidget, Kathy Zuckerman, works as a hostess at Duke's in Malibu. I didnt know her when we were there. she was one of the first female surfers in Malibu...
funny.
but, you got that right!!
it would have been an oh so dumb move
sending you that work/dinner picture.
but i see you know how to
'work the guilt'
work it girl.
so...he made it up to you.
good.
happy vday xxx
My oh my! That sounds perfectly dreamy! happy valentines to you both x LZ
A good man,and a smart one too :) Happy Valentine's day!
Jennifer (Gigi), Geoffrey's is where Hubby went! Although, he told me that the locals pronounce it "JAH-ffrey's." Very hoity toity, no?
Renee, hope I didn't come off as working the guilt too much! I probably shouldn't whine too much about single-parenting it. There are many folks who do it every day with no reprieve, so I should thank my blessings, huh? :)
Just a tad jealous of him!
