I have been growing my hair out a bit, which I tend to do in the winter. My latest style is similar to what Winona Ryder is sporting in the film Black Swan:
I think the best option is to return to my tried-and-true hairstyle, a la Gwyneth Paltrow in the film, Sliding Doors:
Gwynnie gets it right with this look. Can't go wrong with this one.
What a silly cycle...oh, well.
I'm curious, do you often change up your look or do you have a signature style that you've kept because it works best for you?
Thanks for indulging me in this super-superficial post today. Wish I had something profound to say about the world's events right now, but given that I'm working from home while caring for a sick child (Miss E. is running a fever), I can't seem to muster anything of great importance. I'll leave that to the diplomats.
And, to all of my friends and family in the Midwest and Northeast, I hope you weather this winter storm as best you can. Fingers crossed that your power stays on and that you are able to stay warm and cozy in your homes!

Let us hear an update. Haircuts are so emotional!
Hope that your week is off to a great start.

While I don't spend a great deal of time at the stylist(I've had the same barber for twenty some years, does that count?) I do like the Gwyneth look for you. What does Hubby think? I hope Miss E is better soon.
I love to change up my hairstyle. I already have an appointment setup in March to put highlights in. I like light hair during the spring/summer and dark during fall/winter. Both of the hairstyles you've mentioned are really cute!
I love both styles you have posted. The second style would be the easiest to take care of though. I am sure you will look good in either one.
We are taking care of our grand child today. He is also a sickie right now, home from school and with Nonna and Grandpop! Such a sweetheart!
i love her cut.
i would do it!
no, really-
I WOULD DO IT!!
OMG. I feel like my hair is SO boring and ALWAYS looks the same....but nothing else looks cute on me. Short hair makes my face look really fat and long hair just kinda works for me. (Especially since I'm the worlds worst at hair styling.)
I've worn my hair long for years. It's naturally curly and I style it straight, curly, and wavy often. For my birthday this year I tried bangs and that lasted for a whole week before starting to grow them out again.
Best wishes for E's speedy recovery!
I usually play with my highlights. If I'm feeling really sporty I'll have a few inches taken off ~ I'm crazy like that ~ ha!

Hi, nice to meet you! Can't wait to hear what you decided! if you don't feel right with your hair everything goes...Love the Gwyneth short one (with long bang), amazing sleek and cool when blow dried but the bang thing becomes annoying (I had it once...)
I don't change my hair radically or regularly but I am growing it longer after having a short cut for the past 6 years...I think short hair looks amazing and very French Chic...and it's easy to maintain if your stylist knows what works with your hair type.
I love Gwenyths hair. I wish I could wear my hair short like that!
I've had long, crazy hair forever.
I wear it up when I want to be an adult.
So, it's down most of the time.
Jen,
Just wanted to let you know that I have passed on the Super Comments Award to you!

We need pics!!! I've always loved that style GP sported in Sliding Doors, but have never had the courage to do it - I wanna see yours!
I am in that painful situation now, of growing it to onw length and feeling like I want to cut it just like Gywneth.
