Life with Kids

"Kids are definitely the boss of you. Anyone who will barge into the room while you are on the commode is the boss of you. And when you explain to them that you're on the commode and that they should leave but they don't? That's a high-level boss."

- Tina Fey on life with 5-year-old daughter, Alice

So, so true! I've been sick the last couple days. And it's funny, because my kids have literally walked all over me while I've been flat on the couch. Not to mention I don't remember the last time I used the restroom by myself. :)

I remember those days. Too funny. I couldn't even go to the bathroom by myself.

I just cracked up! I do not yet have kids, but have had that very experience many a times while babysitting. My mom even jokingly refers to her master bathroom as the "family room." I'm new to blogging, please stop by!

isn't that the truth! I vividly remember returning to work after my first child, having been on mat. leave for 12 months, and needing to run to the bathroom and thinking, oh my gosh, I can just go when I feel like it, without anyone needing to be put down or crawling into the bathroom, I remember thinking it was such a luxury just to pee when I needed to pee. Oh how children change things! Hope you had a fun St. Patty's day. Congrats on the UK win, shouldn't have been so close though IMO!! :)

This is too funny! Stella comes in to the ladies room with me and proceeds to tell me there are purple lizards hiding behind the bathroom door. So hard to find a little peace these days! :)
