As of last evening, I think we can say we're officially finished with swim season.
We won our final home meet! Now the focus is on City Meet, but given our kids' times, I highly doubt they'll qualify. And, this is totally fine by me because they would need to be at the pool on Saturday at the crack of dawn. This tired mama wants no part of that.
But our kids made great progress this summer,
learning so much from our tremendous coaches...
...who truly care for our kiddos and how well they do. Thanks guys and gals! Good luck during your fall semester!
At the end of the very long day, we celebrated with an after-party. A DJ played some tunes and the kids danced like crazy, while the parents could finally jump in the water after staring at it longingly throughout the hazy, hot day.
Oh, yeah, our son had to get stitches above his eye because he hit the pool rail under water. Luckily, there were three doctors right there to exam him, including a plastic surgeon. Thank you, Dr. Sean, for taking care of us last night. What a way to end the season!
Friends, stay tuned in the coming days - I'll be hosting a giveaway! More news later.

that looks like so much fun! I am sure that they loved it!
Your children are so cute, they are a picture of health and happiness. Don't you love these Summer days?
Ah... your little fellow is so darling and looks like he was a real champ through his mishap with the side of the pool.
Beautiful photos of both your little darlings and what a fun way to end swimming lessons for the season. Stay cool and dry my friend, it's extreme heat everywhere..xo HHL
Wonderful! Our daughter is on our club swim team here too and we are about to dash off to the final meet and then for the next two weeks, she will swim at counties and conferences.
I love seeing how she has grown and pushed herself to swim faster and stronger.
Sorry to hear about your little guy....we call that a member of the fence club in skiing....I guess all sports come with a price and boys just seem to know how to find a way to finish with a bang.
