‘True Prep’ in Hand As I Follow the Lemmings Off the Cliff…

Looky looky what I have …
Yeah, me and every other blogger out there, huh? Oh, well. It’s certainly been quite the buzz and I didn’t want to be left out of the discussion.

Glad to see it’s full of the same Lisa Birnbach wry humor, but sorry to see a typo on page one (Copywriters and English majors the world over cringe). Here’s hoping there’s enough sardonic wit to make me forget this terrible faux pas right out of the gate. From what I've read so far, it's a pretty good follow-up to The Official Preppy Handbook.

So, did you get your copy? What do you think so far?

Bought ours Saturday on our trip to Barnes and Noble! I should say that my daughter left with book in hand. Hopefully I can pry it from her preppy hands at some point.
Have a nice day.

A typo (*gasp*)?! Although am a fellow English major, I will still be picking up my copy later today. I hope it lives up to all the hype. xo

Awful. I'm ignoring it. They've broadened the definition so much that it is meaningless. Typical. This book is for aspiring wannabe-types on the outside looking in.

I didn't pick up the book. I haven't read the other one you referred to either. I'm intrigued though for sure.

I have not read the first book... but am most interested in reading this one; without having any prior reference to compare it to.

It certainly will be interesting to read as time passes what persons who read the first book say about the update version and those who have only insight on this book say...

It's on my list to pick up this weekend--I hope there are some copies left! Too bad about the typo; it really is unbelievable what slips past the eyes of "editors" these days. Back in my day . . .

Very disappointing to hear about the type. I am looking forward to reading this follow-up. Read the first one 30 years ago, I think. Yikes!
Best,

Oh no... Hope it doesn't color the entire book for me.

Interesting comment from LBT. I'm almost wondering the same thing. I'll make my decision after I get my reordered copy from Amazon.
