Whit Stillman Returns

I'm excited that Whit Stillman has finally released a new film, "Damsels in Distress,"  after a 14-year hiatus.

Stillman often explores the world of privileged youth, with loquacious dialogue peppered throughout. Believe me, though, I'm not complaining about the wordiness of his films. I rather like it.

His first film, "Metropolitan," focused on the world of Manhattan debutantes during the high-deb season, Christmastime in New York.

 His next film was "Barcelona"

...which was then followed by "The Last Days of Disco."

Are you a fan of Whit Stillman? If so, which film is your favorite?

We're closing in on the weekend, friends. Hang in there.
