The Return of Chocolate

I seriously need to throw a pair of these on and start running. The Easter candy has taken over my house and I have succumbed to its delicious decadence.

Yesterday morning I happily welcomed the return of chocolate to my life after the Lenten fast. But, I do not care for the residence it likes to take in my rear-end. So, I need step up my exercise routine, pronto.

Although, I have to say we timed the sugar high and crash with the kids very well, yesterday. We allowed them a few pieces of Easter candy in the morning, but I think they snuck a few pieces while we were getting ready for church. So, by the middle of 10 a.m. Mass, both kids were leaning on us in the pews with droopy eyes. Probably the best behaved they've been in church in a while. ;)

I hear you! I gave up all candy for Lent and have tried to make up for those 40 days in just one. Will be back on the treadmill tonight!

My grandsons keep a close eye on their loot.So basket robbing is pretty much out of the question. My downfall was the ham.The old just one more slice did me in.

We also had a sweet overload here, what were we thinking with all the sweets. Next year the Easter bunny will be bringing carrots and salad. Sounds like had a great day, love the photo from your earlier post with the peeps in it.

I heard after the fact that they had the egg hunt in the gym - so disappointed that we missed it! I agree on the need to run - we threw out a ridiculous amount of chocolate candy yesterday to avoid the tempation of eating it (though I have to admit that one chocolate bunny made his way into the pantry for one of those emergencies that only chocolate can fix!).

I am still in sugar shock after giving it up over Lent! I crashed pretty hard last night ;)

I too have to watch it, otherwise I will be regretting it by the time bikini time is permanently here.

How did your Easter outfit work out? Were you able to wear those cute black espadrilles? Hope you had the happiest Easter weekend ever. XOXO

I got these new sneakers called "Fit Tone" and I have been wearing them around and trying desperately to get the motivation to go running...I had Reese's peanut butter eggs yesterday and I can tell you I really should be out there!

right there with you in the need for more running! I had to laugh at a couple of kids I saw sneaking the last pieces of candy into their mouth as they made their way into church...

My boys really don't like candy too much. (I am serious here). Oh, they'll eat it, but it makes it very hard to get stuff for their baskets!

Sounds like our place! I have just started looking for recipes for leftover easter chocolates! I am thinking of making and freezing a few weeks worth of choc chip muffins for the kid's to take to school.

Best wishes,
Natasha.
