Who's Dating??

Sorry, I'm going to be a little tabloidy (my word of the day) and write about the latest couple sighting: Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp. How random is this? I guess no more random that his marriage to Elaine Irwin, which lasted close to 20 years, an eternity in the world of show business, or even for regular folk in some cases.

I’m a big Mellencamp fan. Saw him perform at IU several years ago. When Hubbie lived in Bloomington, he saw Elaine Irwin out-and-about with the kids sometimes. The Mellencamps lived a quiet life in their small town. Guess things change.

What I wish hadn’t changed was Meg. I’m also a big fan of hers and it so bothers me that the Hollywood Machine got a hold of her and convinced her that she needed plastic surgery. Such a shame.

So, I guess I've had my first "What the what??" moment of 2011.

How do you wear these??
On another random note, my shearling boots from L.L. Bean arrived the other day. They are super-comfy, but I can’t tuck my jeans into them! Am I going to have to buy jeggings to even wear these things or not tuck in the pants legs? I probably ought to send them back and get something more practical. They are toasty-warm, though. :)

i'm afraid you will have to wear leggings
or jeggings or whateverings. they will be
adorable and well worth it!

thanks for the tabloiding. it's fun to see
a famous new couple. it makes me sad
that meg succumbed (have you heard the
'surcame' quote?) to plastic surgery.

my girls BEG me to never do that. guess
i will just grow old and wrinkled but wear
cute clothes. :)

I was a little disappointed in Meg Ryan. I thought she was so cute. Couldn't she wait until at least 60 to get surgery!
I got the shearling slippers from LL Bean for christmas, love them!

Oh boo!! I hate that the boots didn't work out. I'm sure you could find something else just as cute!

I just had an email exchange w/ friends about this yesterday. So shocking. And what about Ryan Reynolds & Sandra Bullock?

I find leggings so comfy...and not slouchy...perfect for boots and a longer top.

Meg has had an unfortunate experience...she doesn't really look like herself does she?

Poor Meg...

I went to camp for one year with JM's daughter. She was quite what you wild expect his daughter to be like. Very ""Rain on the Scarecrow".

Remember, with any cosmetic plastic surgery there can always be risks and complications that can occur related to infection or a reaction to anesthesia. But with precautions by the surgical team, complications are typically minimized or prevented. Make sure you ask all the right questions as to what to expect before and after your surgery.

I was saddened at first to hear of the Mellencamp's marriage ending and definitely surprised when these pictures surfaced!
Poor Meg, what has she done to that once gorgeous face???

re: the boots,
that is a tough one.

they are selling these blue jean leggings now.
but if you don't want to look like you live in boca raton/hootchy mama
(the capital of T.A.)

you will need a long top over those tight sexy leggings.
you could wear them until there is no circulation left in your legs, or........
you could send them back to 'bean.'

just do which ever is less of a work.
