Power Outage - Fun Times

Bad storms. Tornado sirens blaring at 12:30 a.m.
Power out.
Back hurts after camping out in the basement with the kids.
Tried to apply make-up this morning by candlelight.
Really, really bad hair day.
The kids say they like playing in the dark - can they do it again?
Mommy says, "Dear, God, I hope not."
Can't get to Starbuck's fast enough.

Thankfully we only lost power - no damage to our home. I'm well aware it could be far worse. If the power doesn't return this evening, we may be hoofing it over to my mother-in-law's. Fingers crossed it returns soon.

Hope the sun is shining where you are!

It was a scary one for sure. Thankfully, both of the boys managed to stay asleep. And the best part is that we kept power. Hope your power comes back soon!

Hope all is well now.
We are so dependent on power...
especially when it comes to hot water and hair dryers :)

Man! Hopefully by the time you get home the power will be back on. I can relate to your kids though, when I was little I always felt so excited when the power would go out.

Hope everything is well now.

I hope you get your power back soon!
Thankfully the sun did come out today. I haven't seen the sun for a while now.
I am sure the bad weather will clear up soon.

Glad you are safe! I live in South Florida, so we always have the threat of hurricanes for six months (June-Nov) during hurricane season! Best Wishes! Linda Lan

We lost power a couple of months ago and the kids loved it as well... nevermind that it was about 30 outside and freezing. Like you I could not get to Starbucks fast enough. Whatever did our parents do without it!

Glad to hear you are all OK though!
