A tornado that ripped throught Tuscaloosa, Alabama yesterday was caught on film.
My thoughts and prayers go to our neighbors farther south who experienced a horrific series of storms and tornadoes yesterday, which caused widespread devastation. As of this morning, more than 180 deaths have been reported and that number continues to rise. Alabama was especially hard hit, with entire communities destroyed.
For the first time in several days, we actually have a reprieve from the rain here, and the sun is shining. We are blessed to have not awakened to the loss of loved ones or a dismantled home. May God be with these people during this difficult time.

My heart, thoughts and prayers goes out to all who have been affected by Mother Nature. xo HHL
The images are so scary and sad. As much as I've complained about the weather lately, this certainly puts it in perspective and I realize it could be far worse!
Thank goodness for sunshine in your world today!
The devastation in other areas is heartbreaking. I am still waiting to hear from several friends and business associates. Hope it is power outages, and nothing worse, that prevents them from communicating. May everyone be safe.
Yes, God help those poor people in the Southeast - that tornado is terrifying! Glad that you finally got some sun there. xx
So sad by this.
The death total in my Alabama is now at 162. My daughter is in school in Birmingham, and when I saw the tornado live going through Birmingham, my heart stopped. I know that this is the feeling of so many throughout the southeast.
All we can do at this point is lift them up in prayer and offer our helping hand.
Thank you for your beautiful thoughts.

Good afternoon from Tokyo...
Even from this distance, we were able to watch and see what happened. It is so sad, so heartbreaking to see the aftermath. We continue to pray for everyone.
Enjoy your days of sunshine...
Warmly,
Elizabeth
We have family in Alabama, and luckily they are okay, but this really hit home! My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected!
