Rain Showers Bring Cute Coats

It rained most of the weekend, so in trying to see an upside of the lousy weather, I did notice some adorable raincoats out and about, covered in poppies, plaids, geometric shapes, you name it.

I’ve been sporting my yellow raincoat that I snagged at Old Navy last year during a fabulous sale. It's very cute, but it doesn’t have a hood. And, when I was trying to get the kids out of the car yesterday at church, well, not so practical (I know, use an umbrella, but those tend to go missing quite often at our house). So, I’ve been looking for a raincoat with a hood that won’t break the bank. Target has some cute ones, as does Old Navy, Lands End and Boden. I've featured a few here that I think are especially fun.

Seen any cute rain gear lately? If so, what styles or brands do you recommend?

Oh, by the way, did you see which team is a number one seed in the NCAA East division? Yep, how excited am I?! That reminds me, I need to fill out my bracket...

Does a "well broken in" Barbour count as cute? Didn't think so. ND got in as a 6 seed I hope they get a couple of games in,enjoy your Wildcats!

Love the circles! I couldn't pass that up.

Great roundup. Especially like the green one. Cute jackets, wellies, and umbrella make all the rain somewhat more bearable. :-)

It rains a lot in New Orleans so I have a few raincoats, rain boots and umbrellas. The key is remembering to bring them with you in case there is a sudden storm.

I love your picks! Nothing like a cheery burst of colour on a raincoat to brighten up your day!
I am on the hunt as well!

I'm on the hunt for a new raincoat too! The plaid one at the end is darling in every way. Let us know if you come across any other MUST HAVES! XO

Oh, these raincoats are sooo cute. My plain black one is not nearly as fun. Oh, and Go Duke! :) Sorry, I could not resist.

Nordstrom.com has a lot of jackets and sometimes their sale selection is pretty good, so you may want to check there.

I would love to have some Hunter Wellies, but they're just too expensive! I love these cute coats!

We have been drowning in rain here in Atlanta and I would just love to have that plaid coat to ward off the elements!

Although I'm not planning for rain during my trip to San Francisco, I have been looking for a 'just in case' jacket. Thanks for sharing ideas.

Oh, I adore the first one! So cute, looks like we will be needing those raincoats in KY!

By the way, thanks for your very nice comment regarding my grandfather's passing...

Aren't you just too cute to find fun in the torrential downpours we have all been experiencing... ;)

was excited to read about the coats, but delighted to find that you listed Boden, I have that coat -- small world. Does this mean that Boden can be found in the USA? I hope so, with Liberty in Target and the chance at Boden as well, my shopping in the states is looking better and better....we are true boden family, down to our PJs.
