Goode is Good

Thought I'd start the weekend off with some eye-candy for my girlfriends: Matthew Goode. Sigh.

I happened to catch the film "Leap Year" on HBO the other night featuring Mr. Goode opposite Amy Adams. While it was very formulaic, it was a cute film. I loved the fact that it was set in Ireland and that I had actually been to many of the places featured in the film.

I've long had crushes on several British actors, from Hugh Grant and Jude Law to Clive Owen and the latest, Mr. Goode. I have to say, the Brits can turn them out. As can Scotland, home of Gerard Butler, as well as Ireland, thank you Emerald Isle for Jonathan Rhys Meyers (and Bono). Who is your favorite actor from Across the Pond?

So, while I'm not offering a Christmas entry today, it's always good to take a diversion from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and just look at something pretty. ;)

Hugh Grant for sure...if you ever catch him on a rerun of Inside The Actors Studio, you'll fall in love with him all over again.

Colin Firth...my big crush,
but I fell for Matthew Goode in Leap Year...what a lovely film.
I agree about the charming actors from the UK...

Maybe this is odd but when I think of English actors I think of two lovely and amusing actresses, Julie Walters (I'm a great Mama Mia Fan) and Helen Mirren.

yummy! thank you. after 3 hours (yes THREE HOURS) of wrapping gifts, I needed a break from all the Christmassy stuff. In my Dad's old photos he's a dead ringer for Hugh Grant, cracks me up.
And prayers for Jane from your previous post. I hopped over to her blog, she sounds amazing.

The list is so long. Matthew Goode is the most recent crush. Perhaps the first was and is Colin Firth. Fast Forward to 2007, and I became aware of David Tennant who will always be my Doctor. Then there are the young men of Merlin-amazing actors and marvelously handsome! I also like Clive Owen, Sean Bean, Ewan McGregor, Benedict Cumberbatch, Gary Oldman, Kenneth Brannaugh, Colin Farrell, Christian Bale, Matt Smith, Richard Armitage, Jonas Armstrong Colin Salmon, Aiden Turner, Sean Connery, Alan Rickman, Peter O'Toole, and some amazing Australians, Hugh Jackman and Matt Passmore. I know I've forgotten some amazing actors. These are the ones I thought of right away. Of course, among the actresses, I adore, Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, Kate Winslet, Freema Agyeman, Billie Piper, Catherine Tate, and Emma Thompson.

Didn't you just love saying "oh, I've been there!" and "I remember that!" when watching this movie! I just saw it last week and had fun watching as well as it was fun to have seen the same sights that were on there and of course Mr. Goode wasn't bad either! Hope you have a Fabulous New Year!
