Wish I had a porch swing to lounge upon on lazy summer Saturdays, lemonade in hand. I just love the creaking sound a porch swing makes, when you rock it back and forth with your bare feet. It almost makes the muggy days in the Southeast somewhat bearable.Image courtesy of Southern Living.

That porch swing with a glass of lemonade looks like heaven right about now.
Growing up, my parents had two porch swings on the front porch. It was always nice to sit out there, swinging and drinking iced tea.
It just barely made the heat and humidity of Orlando go away. Now that we live in Arizona, I find I still long for that front porch swing.

I've always wanted to live in a house with one of these! what a great place to swing away your worries and just live and let live.
PS- no worries on the "wet blanket" stuff of late- we go through cycles and better to get it out in here than in the real world!

What's not to love when you think porch swing? I had one once at a old 1914 farm house. Sure brings back great memories!
