Just keep swimming, just keep swimming

Hit the ground running this morning and can’t help but hum the “Just Keep Swimming,” tune from Finding Nemo.

I had to sit in on a meeting at 8 a.m. about a big project at the company. I’ve never been in a room with so much company brass before – a bit much for early on a Monday. Then, I went straight into a meeting with my technology clients. It’s so funny that I, the English major, serve as the company account rep for IT. When I first started working with that group, I used to feel like Heidi pulled away from the mountain, lost in the big city. But, now, I think I speak their language. The other day I even caught myself saying, “The functionality of the system…” What?? They’ve invaded my brain. Quickly, read some Yeats or Austen.

So, given that Monday has hit me like a mack truck, I had to post the image above. It makes me smile and places the focus on what’s really important. This was taken when Miss E. was just a few months old. She’s now 4 and such a big girl. Okay, everything is in perspective now. :)

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

P.S. – I’ve been asked by a reader to post before & after pics of my kitchen, now that the cabinets are painted. I hope to do that in the coming days. Stay tuned.

Happy Monday! I love the picture. You look fabulous! Don't they grow up too fast! My little ones are four too. I find myself looking at baby pictures and wondering - where the time went.

As a comparative literature major who wound up in the software business, I feel you, as they say. Don't worry, all those people who can't use language need you there.
